It is our job, as Fur Parents, to make sure our Fur Family gets vaccinated against this deadly disease.<\/p>\n

Rabies is a vaccine-preventable, zoonotic, viral disease. Once clinical symptoms appear, rabies is virtually 100% fatal.<\/p>\n

World Rabies Day is the 28th of September<\/strong> and aims to raise awareness about the impact of rabies on humans and animals, provide information and advice on preventing the disease in at-risk communities, and support advocacy for increased efforts in rabies control.<\/p>\n

What is so special about the 28th of September?<\/p>\n

28th September marks the anniversary of Louis Pasteur’s death, the French chemist and microbiologist who developed the first rabies vaccine.<\/p>\n
