Ireland are not subject to any quarantine time.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Pets may only enter the UK and Ireland under one of the two below channels.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Non-Commercial:<\/strong>\u00a0 Within 5 days (either side) of owner or a representatives arrival into the UK &amp; Ireland<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Commercial:<\/strong>\u00a0Outside of this 5 day window.\u00a0 South African Export Law requires that the animals must arrive into the UK from a Government Approved Registered Export Facility, PETport can assist with this compliance which involves the pet spending 5 days at the pet hotel in Johannesburg or Cape Town.\u00a0 If travelling this route, you will receive 2 options on your quotation, the commercial option INCLUDES your Veterinary Health Certificate, boarding charges as well as VAT payable on arrival in the UK &amp; Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on the differences please read our article clicking <a href=\"\/traveling-with-pets-into-the-eu-uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Both options require the pet owner to complete a ToR (Transfer of Residency) into the UK.\u00a0 This is important to be done prior to departure to avoid additional penalties on arrival.\u00a0 It will also indicate your travel dates into the UK in line with above.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>NOTE:<\/strong>\u00a0Failure to comply or put fraudulent entry dates on the Customs clearance and entry documentation is a criminal offence.\u00a0 Every arrival to the UK &amp; Ireland comply with these entry requirement, if you are in any doubt please do call our offices for discussion.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>VETERINARY PROCEDURES TO FOLLOW<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:list --><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Valid Vaccinations (5in1 for Dogs; 3in1 for Cats) \u2013 over 30 days less than 12 months<\/li>\n<li>Valid Rabies Vaccination \u2013 over 30 days less than 12 months<\/li>\n<li>Microchipping<\/li>\n<li>Rabies Neutralising Antibody Titration Test (RNATT)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Entry to The UK &amp; Ireland may only take place AT LEAST 90 days after the drawing of blood for the RNATT, sooner entry is possible but involves quarantine in the UK of which is very costly.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT:<\/strong><strong>\u00a0The Rabies Test (RNATT) can only be drawn after 30 days from re-vaccination of Rabies if the pets Rabies inoculations have been allowed to expire.\u00a0 Please DO NOT draw blood before these 30 days as the pets will not receive State Clearance and may not be allowed to enter the country or may be quarantined on entry.\u00a0 Micro-chipping\u00a0MUST\u00a0be done prior to or on the same day as the rabies vaccine, any variation to this may result in a blood redraw and possible travel delays<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The UK &amp; Northern Ireland authorities have made it compulsory to use an agent on arrival to clear your pets. THIS FEE IS CHARGED IN POUNDS \/ EUROS AND WILL BE EXCLUDED IN OUR QUOTATION \u2013 this will be quoted separately directly by the import agent. Southern Ireland it is not compulsory to use an agent, will however include this fee as an annexure in our quotation to you. In the event you wish to carry out your own clearing please do let us know and we will remove this.
